ヒュプセロドーリス・フラヴォマルギナータ Hypselodoris flavomarginata Rudman, 1995

特徴

体長は生時で 14〜25 mm 程度の小型〜中型クロモドーリス（ホロタイプ 15 mm 生体、最大パラタイプ 25 mm 固定）。外套膜は鮮やかなピンク色で、縁には幅広い黄色〜クリーム色の帯が走る。黄色縁とピンク色の地色の境界には細い不透明白色の線が入る。触角の柄は紫赤色で、棍部は半透明白色の核をもつが、前縁・後縁および褶葉部は半透明の紫赤色。鰓は単純で半透明、紫赤色で縁取られる。腹側は半透明クリーム色で、外套膜から覗く足の後端のみ外套膜と同じピンク色を呈する。外套膜は長楕円形で、這行時には足の後部が外套膜の後ろから露出する。鰓は 5 葉の単純鰓で、肛門の周りに環状に並び垂直に保たれる。

分布

ニューカレドニア（模式産地：Grande Coude, Bourail, 西海岸、水深 15 m、ホロタイプ AM C168012）。原記載シリーズは 5 Mile Channel と Banc Gail の SW ラグーン（水深 30〜35 m）を含む。

種小名の由来

種小名 flavomarginata はラテン語 flavus（黄色の）＋ marginatus（縁取られた）の合成で、外套膜縁の幅広い黄色帯にちなむ。なお原記載の語源段落では flavomaculata と表記されているが、これは誤植で、種名としては flavomarginata が論文全体で一貫して使用されている。

補足

外套膜縁に幅広いクリーム色〜黄色の帯と、その内側の細い不透明白色の線をもつ点で他のピンク系クロモドーリスから容易に見分けられる。Thorunna speciosus と色彩は似るが、内部解剖は大きく異なる。
