トラパニア・トラ Trapania tora Gosliner & Fahey, 2008

特徴

体長6〜7mm。体形は細長く凸型で、明瞭な外套膜の縁を欠く。鰓部で最も幅広く、背面には不規則な大きさの丸い瘤状突起が散在する。頭部前縁は丸く、口触手は比較的短く円筒形で丸い先端をもつ。触角は3〜4枚の褶葉をもつ細長い形状で、先端は球状で細長く伸びる。背側突起は細長く曲がり、鰓側突起は背側突起より長く曲がる。鰓は3本の細かく分かれた羽状枝からなる。
体地色は白色で、背面の大部分は鈍い橙黄色の色素に覆われ、その上に灰黒色の細長い斑が左右対称に配列して鱗状の模様を作る。これらの斑は頭部側面、鰓盾の正中分岐線、鰓周囲、足側面までつながる。背面の白い瘤は黄色の中に位置し、その先端は白色。前足触角は白色、口触手の基部は褐色で先端は黄色。背側突起と鰓側突起は白色で、長軸方向に黄色線が走る。触角は半透明白色、鰓葉は黄白色で細かい分岐をもつ。

分布

インドネシア・バリ島 Tulamben のみから知られる。

種小名の由来

原記載 (Gosliner & Fahey, 2008, p.81) の Etymology 段落は次の通り — "The specific name tora is from the Latin word for a round elevation, protuberance or bulge. This is in reference to the rounded tubercles found on the dorsum of this species." 種小名 tora はラテン語で「丸い隆起・突起・瘤 (a round elevation, protuberance or bulge)」を意味し、背面に散在する丸い瘤状突起を表す。

補足

本種は 2008 年の Halgerda 改訂 Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society 152: 53-111 でインド太平洋産 Trapania 16 新種の一つとして記載された。原記載 Remarks では、本種は T. brunnea、T. toddi、T. reticulata と同様に褐色の網目斑をもつが、T. tora では対称な褐色斑の間に黄色斑が独立した塊として存在し、さらに各背側突起に沿って黄色のラインが走る点で区別される (p.82)。背面に丸い瘤状突起をもつ点では T. palmula・T. armilla と共有するが、T. palmula の瘤は小さく、T. tora と T. armilla では大きく丸い (p.82)。
