タンブヤ・ヴェルコニス Tambja verconis (Basedow & Hedley, 1905)

特徴

体地色は淡黄色で、青色の不規則な輪郭の模様をもつ。

分布

模式産地は南オーストラリア。ブラジルからも記録される。

種小名の由来

種小名 verconis は、原記載者 Basedow と Hedley が南オーストラリアの医師・貝類学者 Sir Joseph Cooke Verco (1851–1933) に献名したもの。Verco は南オーストラリア博物館の名誉貝類学者で、属名 Verconia も同氏に由来する。

補足

本種は Tambja 属のタイプ種に指定されている。「本州のウミウシ」でタンブヤ・ウェルコニスとされていた個体は Tambja pulcherrima に該当する。
