コノハオトメウミウシ Dermatobranchus phyllodes Gosliner & Fahey, 2011

特徴

体長 27〜45mmにも達する大型種。体は細長く扁平で、後方が細くなる。足はわずかに外套膜の縁を超えて張り出す。背面には外套膜の縁に対してほぼ垂直に走る深い背側稜があり、本種に特徴的な葉脈状の外観をもたらす。口幕は前方に張り出し、角は鈍く、しばしば中央で切れ込む。広く離れた触角は口幕の後ろにあり、縦褶葉をもつ。
背面・口幕・足の地色は淡緑色で、ピンクがかった斑が混じる。背面には濃緑の細点と斑がさまざまな大きさで散在し、外套前方 1/3 に U 字状の濃緑色帯が走る。触角の柄は白、暗色。口幕は不透明白で前縁の暗緑色斑と淡橙色の縁取りをもつ。足縁には小さな暗色の細点が散在する。

分布

インドネシア、フィリピン、パプアニューギニア、ソロモン諸島。模式産地は Christmas Bay, Bagabag Island, off Madang, Papua New Guinea, 7 m。

種小名の由来

原記載 (Gosliner & Fahey, 2011, p.330) の Etymology 段落は次の通り — "The specific name phyllodes is from the Greek word meaning 'leaflike: chlorophyll' in reference to the distinctive leaf-like appearance of this species' dorsum." 種小名 phyllodes はギリシャ語の「葉のような・葉緑素のような」に由来し、背面の葉脈状の特徴的な外観にちなむ。

補足

本属の中で全側歯に小歯を欠く唯一の種。
