コイボオトメウミウシ Dermatobranchus tuberculatus Gosliner & Fahey, 2011

特徴

体長5〜12mmほど。体は細長く三角形で扁平、後方は丸い。足はわずかに外套膜の縁を超えて張り出すか、または外套に完全に覆われる。外套は粗くてランダムに分布する丸いコブ（tubercle）に覆われ、明瞭な縦走稜を欠く。口幕は前方に張り出し、角は丸い。広く離れた棒状の触角は口幕の後ろにあり、縦褶葉と短い頂部突起をもつ。柄は細くならない。
背面・口幕・足の地色は淡白〜タン色または紫色。コブは概して淡褐色で、より濃い褐色の点刻をもつ。外套前半部の中央背面には淡褐色の三角形のマークが現れることがある。口幕は白で少数の暗褐色の細点をもち、ピンク〜紫色の縁取りをもつ。触角は淡褐色で白色の頂端直下にやや濃い褐色の色素をのせる。

分布

パプアニューギニア、東マレーシア、フィリピン。模式産地は Ligpo Island, Batangas Province, Luzon Island, Philippine Islands, 28 m。

種小名の由来

原記載 (Gosliner & Fahey, 2011, p.341) の Etymology 段落は次の通り — "The specific name tuberculatus refers to the presence of rounded tubercles on the dorsal surface of the notum that characterize this species. It is a noun in apposition" 種小名 tuberculatus は同格名詞で、外套表面に並ぶ丸いコブにちなむ。

補足

外見・解剖ともに D. pustulosus Hasselt, 1824 に最も近いが、丸いコブが結節（nodule）状ではなく稜にも組織化されていない点で区別される。
